Bay Saint Louis, MS - The 100 Men Hall welcomes the incredible singer songwriter Sunny War back to the historical stage on Thursday, September 25, 2025 at 7PM! Tickets are $25 online in advance and $35 at the door. Food for purchase by Nolan’s Catering and a cash/credit bar. Sunny War - the Los Angeles-based street singer, guitarist, and roots music revolutionary grew up in Nashville, where she searched for her own roots, looking first to the blues she heard from her mother’s boyfriend and then learning from a local guitarist. Moving to Los Angeles in her teens, she searched for herself in the LA punk scene, playing house shows with FIDLAR and shoplifting DVDs from big box stores to trade at Amoeba Records for 80s punk albums. But here, too, she found herself on the outside, working to bridge her foundation in country blues and American roots guitar traditions with the punk scene she called home. She first made her name with this work, bringing a wickedly virtuosic touch on the fingerstyle guitar that sprang from her own self-discoveries on the instrument. Sunny War played the historical 100 Men Hall at its annual Booker Fest in 2021 then went onto […]

There will be food for purchase by Big Bertha’s Kitchen and Catering and a cash/credit bar. Blue Mountain was formed in 1991 by husband-and-wife team, Cary Hudson and Laurie Stirratt. Blue Mountain was signed to indie label Roadrunner Records and in 1995 released “Dog Days", an album cut mostly live in the studio with drummer Frank Coutch and producer Eric “Roscoe” Ambel at The Studio, owned by Lou Whitney in Springfield, MO. The album comprised many songs from their first eponymous release and garnered the band critical success in alt-country circles. Two more albums followed on Roadrunner, Home Grown in 1997, and Tales of a Traveler in 1999. An album of all public-domain roots covers, simply titled Roots followed in 2001, before their […]
